Born to noble parents in Pisa, Cevoli entered the Capuchin Poor Clares in 1703. Although her entry was initially met with hesitation from the mistress of novices, her sincere vocation led to her profession of vows in 1705. She later served as a vicar before becoming abbess. During her tenure, she focused on maintaining the order and supported the canonization efforts for her predecessor, Veronica Giuliani.

Veneration

Cevoli was declared Venerable by Pope Pius X in 1910 following the recognition of her heroic virtues. After a miracle was investigated and ratified, she was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1993. Her feast day is observed on 12 June, the date of her death in 1767.
