Prestoea is een geslacht uit de palmenfamilie (Arecaceae). De soorten uit het geslacht komen voor in de tropische delen van het Caraïbisch gebied, Centraal-Amerika en Zuid-Amerika. Het verspreidingsgebied strekt zich uit van de Grote Antillen en Nicaragua in het noorden tot Brazilië en Bolivia in het zuiden.
