Sam Newfield, nato Samuel Neufeld e anche noto con i nomi Sherman Scott e Peter Stewart (New York, 6 dicembre 1899 – Los Angeles, 10 novembre 1964), è stato un regista statunitense, tra i più prolifici nell'ambito dei B-movie.
Ha diretto oltre 270 lavori tra cortometraggi, film e produzioni televisive dagli anni venti agli anni sessanta, tra cui i cortometraggi della serie Buster Brown.
