Traxectoria
Asistiu ó Latymer Upper School de Londres. É membro da YoungBlood Theatre Company e filla de Fiona e Trevor Poots, que é un produtor de televisión londiniense.
A súa primeira aparición nun filme foi como Valerie no filme 2005 V de Vendetta e o papel polo que é mundialmente coñecida é como Tammy no exitoso filme británico 28 Weeks Later.
Traballa tamén como modelo para a Select Model Management. O primeiro filme no que interveu Poots foi como a nova Valerie no filme de V de Vendetta. Poots tamén apareceu nun episodio de Casualty no 2004, na curta de Matt Day Wish e no 2007 no filme televisivo chamado Miss Austen Regrets.
Poots fixo aparicións en filmes tales como Cracks (dirixido por Jordan Scott da novela de Sheila Kohler), e dúas producións estadounidenses, Waking Madison e Solitary Man. Participou no remake do filme de terror Fright Night.
