Hawker Hunter on Suurbritannia hävituslennuk. Selle konstrueeris Suurbritannia kuninglikule õhuväele (RAF) 1940. aastate lõpus ja 1950. aastate alguses ettevõte Hawker Aircraft. See töötati välja, et kasutada Rolls-Royce'i uut turboreaktiivmootorit. Septembris 1952 püstitas Hunteri esimene prototüüp maailma lennukiiruse rekordi, kui lendas 1171 km/h.
Hunter jõudis teenistusse 1954. aastal ning sellega vahetati kiiresti välja esimese põlvkonna hävitajad, nagu Gloster Meteor ja de Havilland Venom. Hunter sobis hästi päevasteks lendudeks, öösiti hakati kasutama hävitajat Gloster Javelin. Lennukit arendati aja jooksul, uuematel mudelitel olid võimsamad mootorid ja suuremad kütusepaagid. Huntereid kasutati ka RAF-i formatsioonlendudeks, Black Arrows lennutas formatsioonis rekordilised 22 Hunterit. Hävitajat eksporditi üle maailma, see oli kasutusel 22 riigi lennuvägedes.
1960. aastatel jõudis RAF-i kätte ülehelikiiruseline English Electric Lightning ning Hunterit hakati kasutama pigem luureotstarbel või hävitus-pommituslennukina. Kaheistmelised mudelid olid taustaülesannetes ja väljaõppes RAF-is ja Suurbritannia mereväes kasutusel kuni 1990. aastateni. Hunter on 2022. aasta seisuga veel kasutusel Zimbabwe õhuväes.
Hawker Hunter oli kasutusel arvukates relvakonfliktides, sealhulgas Suessi kriisis, Adeni kriisis, Hiina-India sõjas, 1965. aasta India-Pakistani sõjas, 1971. aasta India-Pakistani sõjas, Rodeesia kodusõjas, teises Kongo sõjas, kuuepäevases sõjas, kurnamissõjas ja Yom Kippuri sõjas. Hawker Aircraft ja selle järglane Hawker Siddeley tootsid kokku 1972 Hunterit, lisaks valmistati seda välismaal litsentsi alusel. RAF-is asendati Hunter hävitaja rollis Lightningu, Hawker Siddeley Harrieri ja McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II-ga.
