XVideos (stylized as XVIDEOS) is a Czech-French website for sharing and viewing pornographic videos. It was founded in Paris in 2007 and is now registered to the Czech company WGCZ Holding. As of October 2025, it was the 30th-most-visited website in the world and the third-most-visited pornography website, after Pornhub and xHamster. The site works as an aggregator of adult content, offering a model similar to that of YouTube for general video, with professional clips mixed alongside amateur material.
Founding and ownership
XVideos was founded by Stéphane Michael Pacaud, its French owner. By 2012 it was reported to be the largest pornography website in the world, with more than 100 billion page views per month. That year, Fabian Thylmann, then owner of MindGeek (now Aylo), tried to buy the site, but the owner declined a reported offer of over US$120 million. The company is now owned by Pacaud and his sister, Malorie Debroah Pacaud. WGCZ Holding also owns several other adult brands, including XNXX, Bang Bros and Penthouse magazine.
Traffic and legal issues
As of August 2021, XVideos was the most-visited porn website and the seventh-most-visited website overall, according to Similarweb. The site has also been involved in legal disputes, including a 2015 case against MindGeek. A 2021 article by journalists Jakub Zelenka and Lukáš Prattle examined abuse allegations linked to Legal Porno, a brand in which WGCZ Holding holds a controlling interest. Testimonies described participants being uninformed about the films' intent and facing dangerous practices, along with reported health concerns.
