Maghla, born Barbara on 8 November 1993 in Les Lilas, is a French video creator and streamer. Since 2017 she has broadcast humorous videos and let's play content on her Twitch and YouTube channels. She began streaming full-time on Twitch in January 2017, initially focusing on commented horror games, and later expanded into a more varied range of genres, becoming one of the rare women among the most-followed French players.
Early life and education

Maghla was raised by two parents who were both gamers, who introduced her to video games at a young age, including Doom and World of Warcraft. After working from the age of 17 and passing a literary baccalaureate as an independent candidate, she earned a degree in economics and management at the University of Cergy-Pontoise. She then joined a school of applied digital technologies and began making videos for the web TV channel War Legend in parallel with her studies.
Career and projects
After completing a work-study master's degree in commercial engineering, she chose to devote herself fully to streaming. Her career grew through encounters with other streamers and an invitation from Webedia in 2018. She has taken part in the Z Event charity marathon since 2018, and in 2023 launched the talk show Sip & Gossip, built around stories sent in by her community. In 2025 she became the first French female streamer to reach one million Twitch followers.
Public engagement
Maghla has spoken publicly about cyberharassment, including sexist comments and deepfakes used by some harassers. In September 2021 she denounced inappropriate behaviour toward her at her gym, and she later said she had experienced domestic and sexual violence over two years. She has also appeared on television, including a role in the series Bref. and a place as a contestant in the fifteenth season of Danse avec les stars.
